2018 Soberanes Vineyard Pinot Noir

Connoisseurs’ Guide to California Wine
"One of several outstanding Pinots in this issue that are sourced from the Soberanes Vineyard in the Santa Lucia Highlands in Monterey County, Ten Acre's version is a deep, impressively filled effort that is rife with black cherries and sweet spice, and it exhibits the lovely, near-velvety texture unique to well-made Pinot Noir. Full, but firmly balanced and never lacking for life, it shows a good deal of winemaking polish, and, while sure to age effortlessly for a half-decade or more, it is, in all truth, an immensely satisfying wine whose enjoyment does not hinge on lengthy cellaring." 91 Points

“This layered, velvety wine offers warm, ripe black cherry and black plum flavors that mingle easily with hints of cedar, mint, and clove on a broad, lightly tannic texture. It shows gorgeous fruit and a plush mouthfeel.” 93 Points

2018 Jenkins Vineyard Pinot Noir

Connoisseurs’ Guide to California Wine
"This outgoing wine's ample aromas of fully ripe cherries and pastry crust sweetness immediately announce it as a Pinot of undeniable richness, and its layered, like-minded, very generous flavors live up to expectations in terms of their fruity volume and impressive depth. Ripe and weighty, but quite well-balanced for a wine of its substance and size, it is no shrinking violet, yet it never seems heavy or in any way overdone and displays seamless integration of its many parts. As is the case with most any well-made Pinot Noir, it is more than enjoyable in its youth, but it gets our vote as one that will improve over time and pay dividends to those willing to wait for even a few years." 92 Points.

Wine Enthusiast
"This exceptional, distinctive wine is laser focused on ripe cherry flavors—black and red—that connect from the first sniff through the lingering finish. All that fruit is nicely supported by moderate tannins and tangy acidity that keep it fresh and appetizing. Best from 2025." 95 Points

2018 Ritchie Vineyard Horseshoe Block

Connoisseurs’ Guide to California Wine                                                                                                                                      "Drawn from a distinct, single block in Kent Ritchie's Vineyard, this Chardonnay is a substantial, very deep working whose concentrated fruit takes a moment to catch up to its leading impressions of sweet and spicy oak, and, if at first slightly viscous upon entry, it quickly assumes the solidly structured stance of a wine, that however showy it may be at the moment, will be even more expressive if allowed some time on the cork. It strikes us as being the more vigorous and longer-lived of Ten Acre's pair of 2018 Ritchie Vineyard bottlings, and, in all truth, no serious Chardonnay collector will go wrong by selecting either or both of the two." 94 Points

“The 2018 Chardonnay Ritchie vineyard Horseshoe Block has a nose of quince paste, honeycomb, nuts, and candied peaches. The palate is medium-bodied, ultra-savory and fresh with a long gentle finish.” 92 Points

Wine Enthusiast
“This supremely concentrated and yet lively wine expertly balances energizing acidity against wonderful ripeness and richness. Subtle almond, butter and vanilla aromas meet lime, mint, and butterscotch flavors on a full body, with a mouth filling texture and lingering finish. Best from 2024." 96 Points, Cellar Selection

2018 Earl Stephens Vineyard Pinot Noir

Wine Enthusiast
“This generous, concentrated, and full-bodied wine offers an earthy, peppery accent over the ripe black-cherry aroma before unleashing a broad spectrum of black fruits, clove and anise on the palate. Moderate tannins and tingly acidity give it great structure. Best through 2028.” 93 Points

2018 Ritchie Vineyard Chardonnay

Wine Enthusiast
“Great depth, subtle flavors and a soothing, broad texture make this outstanding wine a treat to sip. Its fruity notes are restrained as the palate emphasizes almond, brown-butter and fig flavors that ride a creamy texture.”  94 points
