Located in the heart of Sebastopol, CA, amidst the rolling hills of the Russian River Valley AVA within the Sonoma Coast AVA, Umino Vineyard spans 11 acres of prime terroir. Here, the cool, windy coastal influences create an optimal microclimate for growing exceptional Pinot Noir grapes.
David Umino, third-generation farmer, is committed to sustainable farming practices and meticulous care and attention to detail. The vineyard's soil composition, a harmonious blend of sandy loam and adobe clay, coupled with its south to southeast aspect, imparts a distinct character to the grapes.
Since its inaugural harvest in 2000, Umino Vineyard has been a beacon of quality, consistently delivering fruit of exceptional caliber. The varietal planted is solely Pinot Noir cultivated from Dijon Clones 115, 459, and 777, each contributing unique nuances to the final blend.
